Philly Republican state Rep. Martina Whites controversial HB 1885 bill, which would penalize and make liable municipalities with sanctuary city protections in place for undocumented residents, did not come to a vote yesterday, the last voting day of Pennsylvanias legislative year.
Thats good news. Under HB 1885s aegis, police would be required to determine and report the immigration status of every arrest when there is reasonable cause to believe that person is undocumented something which would codify and institutionalize racial profiling, especially of Latinxs.

When president Trump takes power he needs to deport ALL the illegals including all the anchor babies like Sabrina Vourvoulias herself.

Good for this Pennsylvania lawmaker trying to right by the rule of law and the citizens.
So few of them are on our side.

"Reasonable cause" is not exactly a novel idea in American law. If you pull over someone for speeding and ask for their ID (driver's license), and they don't have one, and they are Hispanic and speak broken English or no English, there is "reasonable cause" to suspect they are here illegally. The vast majority of illegal aliens are Hispanic; that is not profiling, it is a fact.

One more reason to vote out my worthless Dem state rep. I just heard he was out recently talking about how he needs to win one more election to secure his pension.
Too bad.

> especially of Latinxs
I thought that was a typo but apparently “Latinxs” was invented to be a gender-neutral, politically correct alternative to Latina and Latino.
