They are muslim but are primarly tribal people. They are honest and their word is good. I have worked with them in Oman. A funny story: When working in Oman I was crossing from the UAE at the Baramie crossing near Al Ain. I got to the border showed my papers and was waved through. Not two hundred yards from the crossing were bedouins crossing the desert on camels and on foot and across the border. I asked the man why they do not go through border crossing as I did. His exact words were, "they are bedouins."
Hmmm,interesting If they're moslems who are honest and true to their word they obviously haven't gotten the memo from Mecca yet.
