Donald Trump Says He'll Run America Like His Business
Fortune Mag. ^ | Oct. 27, 2016 | AP

His presidential dreams increasingly in question, Donald Trump pushed his business empire to the center of his political campaign Wednesday. Taking a break from battleground states, he made the case at his newest hotel that all Americans should look to his corporate record for evidence of how well he’d run the country.

“Under budget and ahead of schedule. So important. We don’t hear those words so often, but you will,” said Trump, linking the hotel redevelopment—just blocks from the White House—to his promised performance as president. “Today is a metaphor for what we can accomplish for this country.”

If that doesn’t mean two chickens in every pot; two cars in every garage, I don’t know what does.

Prosperity as far as the eye can see...

Why let the media pick the President again? Look what the media did to this country at the last election. The people should pick, not the media!

There are two common misunderstandings about America that I wish would be put to rest once and for all.

The first is that America was founded as a democracy, which as most Freepers know, is completely inaccurate.

The second is that the president’s job is to “run the country.”

You see the same narrative everywhere. They talk about his dwindling chances for the presidency, his uphill struggle for the presidency, and his longshot chance for the presidency. The MSM is acting like a boxer who isn’t quite as good as his opponent who mouths off at the pre-fight press conference, and tells his opponent he has no chance and he’s gonna knock him out. Isn’t that what the MSM is doing to Trump now? Taunting him on behalf of Hillary. Trump is gonna have a knockout punch all ready for them on Nov 8th.

Swell. The Left won’t stop yapping about the USFL now for the next two weeks.

Agreed. It has really never mattered what he has said or not said, the media basically take anything (even out of thin air) and run with it to see if it floats or flies.

RAT response: Into bankruptcy.

They’ll ignore his multiple successes and dwell on his few failures.

O good... so when are we declaring bankruptcy? And how many times? Of course, my reasonable question will be censored by the uber leftists who don’t allow reason and thougbt.. even on “freedom loving” FR. Silence or I will ban you!

The second is that the president’s job is to “run the country.”

Exactly so. It's the President's job to run the executive branch of government.
