The new Kono is hot. That’s about it for me.
Note to the networks: I used to love TV. Now I watch 1 hr, just 1 hr, of broadcast TV a week. And it ain’t on CBS/ABC/NBC. Note to affiliates and advertisers: It’s your loss, too.
Another show to cross off my list. Might as well ditch the whole tv at this point.
And yes, she it hot.
No way! Wow.
If you subscribe to a cable package you’re paying them all even the ones you don’t watch.
Some of it started stupid. The character Kono ( Grace Park )
was supposed to have been a professional surfer. Those are local celebs there and would be useless for police undercover work as she would be easily recognized. But she did some episodes with that theme.
I know. But affiliates and advertisers are still screwed. Why the affiliates aren’t raising holy heck at their brands being trashed is beyond me. And whatever advertisers are paying is money down a rat hole.
Ditching tv creates a lot of free time to enjoy other activities. I’ll never go back.
Before my time and I’ve never seen it in syndicated reruns. It was part of a group of shows from the early sixties done by Warner Bros. with detectives set in exotic locales (77 Sunset Strip, Bourbon Street Beat, Surfside 6)
Decades ago sniper tried to blame his real life shooting spree on an episode of the original 5-O. Jury didn’t buy it.
Content is king.
If anybody has a few hundred mil to invest, give me a ping (one ping only). I have an idea for something I call Red Bits Productions. Sane budgets, great programming, no cr@p.
And in the meantime: Hollyweird, my offer to go thru your slush piles is still open.
I loved the original series, but in that also McGarrett was constantly preaching gun control.
</sarcasm>
No TV here either,
XLNT DVD collection so I can “Chill.”
I am watching a lot of DVD’s and even VHS tapes
myself these days.
Had it up to my eyeballs with Hillary’s ads.
Especially the ones featuring Republican turncoats.
Liberal shiite inserted, but main character straightens the like leftist puke out.
The new 5-0 couldn’t seem to decide whether it wanted to be an adult show or kiddi show.
Early seasons had the overweight food-truck guy for comic relief. Along with the witty medical examiner guy most shows think they need. Several seasons later they added the ‘Jerry’ character from LOST for more comedy. And they have several other characters whose main purposes seem to be to deliver various comedic lines.
It draws enough viewers to keep it in the Friday night timeslot, though.
