Russia has withdrawn a request for three warships to dock at the Spanish port of Ceuta for refuelling, following concern among Nato allies.
The Spanish foreign ministry says the stopovers have now been cancelled.

Good god, is that photo real? Who is that?
Don’t have any idea, honestly. Found it on the 0Hour1 Twitter account.
NATO or some European? I can’t identify the uniform.
And the NeoCon nutjob’s dream of war with the Ruskies draws ever closer...
Are they trying to start a war so they can blame it on Trump ..????
While I wouldn’t put anything past them; they are messing with the wrong crowd this time.
Does refusing to refuel the Russian fleet have any practical impact on their operations?
Most Navy ships have enormous range but like to keep topped up with fuel for contingencies.
I suspect it is nothing more than an annoyance to them and they will refuel somewhere else.
Does the Black Sea fleet have any oilers? If not, can Russia send one or more to the Mediterranean by the same route as the fleet just took? Looks to me like in less than 2 weeks they could have all the necessary logistics to resupply their fleet from Crimea in place.
That better be John Cleese! :-[
Looks like a Monty Python skit, doesn’t it?
It does! It looks too funny to be taken seriously.
Please tell me that photo is not real
To be honest, I have no idea.
But the way things are going in Europe (and America is following) it would not surprise if it was.
I don’t know for sure.
