This trial will be an interesting gauge of the popular sentiment about the federal government.
If they are found guilty, it is because the jury thinks that the feds are “good people trying to do good, and being attacked by those who don’t appreciate the good they are doing.”
But if they are found not guilty, it is because the jury thinks that the feds are oppressive, heavy-handed brutes who exercise far more authority than permitted by the constitution, yet when resisted at all, even peacefully, not only respond with violence, but whine and snivel and curse and persecute those who resist their power.
Let’s see what the jury thinks. And if it is for acquittal, will the feds accept their decision, or take them to trial again and again until convicted.
It's the Government of Corruption. Do you really expect them to accept anything but their word on ANYTHING? They will litigate this until those charged accept a plea or are found guilty of multiple felonies. In the Mean Time, both the FBI Director and Assistant Director are bought and paid for by the Clinton/ McCauliffe Crime syndicate.
We shall see.
This was an opportunity for a jury of mostly western Oregonians (the “Left Coast”) to experience the concerns of their fellow Oregonians east of the Cascade Mountain passes where the old ways of logging first, now farming and ranching have been under siege for decades from federal government policy.
The defense lawyers-defendants tried to bring some liberalism into their arguments as well. Many of the defense lawyers are court appointed Portlandians.
Eight of the jurors are women. There were plenty of women called as defense witnesses.
3 days of Deliberations? I would say that they are walking on most of the charges.
