It was just reported that our heating bills will increase about 10% this winter. The car insurance renewal is up $6 a month, and the homeowners went up about $400 (no claims). Groceries are costing us pretty close to $100 per week, up about $10/week over a year ago. Have had one tiny raise since 0bama has been in office, and health insurance is about 70% more for my premium share.

Who can afford to buy a new car?

Anyone have any idea when the car industry will start to offer some YUGE deals to offset their losses? I’m holding out for a $100.00 a month lease. It that a reasonable expectation?

It doesn't help that used vehicles can nearly run forever with a little wrenching.

Toyota and Honda can get 300K miles with the proper care, as do Ford and Chevy trucks.

What do you need a car for...? Liberals will require you to ride a train, bus or bike to work from your mud hut.
