There’s a Wikileaks email from 2015 where Hillary’s camp plans how to use Trump’s “bromance” with Putin against him. Trump had said that Putin was a strong leader. Her people saw it as a potential weapon if Trump won the nomination.
There’s no deeper reason than that. If anything, she’s the one compromised by Putin.
