Belgium has been given until Monday evening to back an EU trade deal with Canada.

The Canadians have said they are "ready to sign" the historic deal and all 28 EU government back the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement.

However, it has been held up because the regional government of the French-speaking region of Wallonia in Belgium has refused to give the go-ahead, saying the deal is bad for Europe's farmers and gives too much power to global corporate interests.

Canada's a major oil producer. Also,Canada is a prosperous country whose people can afford German automobiles,Airbus aircraft,French wine and Italian handbags.Yes,Canada's a small country but it's one that other countries would wanna do business with.

the leaders of Canada are screwing Canada.
(much like it is in the US)

Canada agrees to take in name brand European stuff.
EU agrees to buy(from Canada) boatloads
of stuff like wheat and oil,
for which there is a worldwide commodity trade,
the price and the stuff is the same
around the world, except for the cost of transport.
the EU offers nothing because Canada
could sell their stuff for the same price
somewhere else.

what about that don’t people get?
