Congressman Hoyer has been an “unwavering advocate” for federal workers, union says

WASHINGTON – The American Federation of Government Employees, the nation’s largest union of federal workers, has endorsed Rep. Steny Hoyer for re-election to Maryland’s 5th Congressional District.

“Congressman Hoyer has been an unwavering advocate for federal government employees since he was first elected to Congress in 1981,” AFGE National President J. David Cox Sr. said.

“Rep. Hoyer has fought to ensure the federal government has the resources it needs to recruit the best and brightest workers and that our public sector workers are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.

“We are proud to call Congressman Hoyer our friend and ally, and we look forward to continuing to work closely together in the years ahead on behalf of federal workers and the American people we serve.”

How come this is legal? Political campaigning on FED FACILITIES while using FED Facilities?

FOLKS, we the tax payers are PAYING FOR THIS ACTIVITY.

How does the GOPee ever expect to win anything up against these odds - the RATS already control 98% of the "Free Press".

Gee, who would have predicted this when government employees were allowed to unionize? And we now wonder why government tells citizens what to do instead of the other way.

Hoyer left law school to run for a Maryland House seat, and became House Speaker by age 29. When Gladys Spellman had a stroke in 1981, he ran in the by-election and has been in Congress EVER SINCE.

He spent the 80’s trying to thwart Reagan, spent the 90’s supporting Clinton, spent to millennium bashing GWB, by which time he was Pelosi’s number two, and spent the early Obama years shoving Obamacare down our throats.

All the while residing in a gerrymandered District, in which Southern Maryland routinely supports his opposition, and he purloins enough of black PG county to remain in power.

Now in his seventies, he is running for his 18th or 19h term.

What a disaster Steny Hoyer has been for Maryland and for this country.
