The Pentagon is seeking to recover decade-old reenlistment bonuses paid to thousands of California Army National Guard soldiers to go fight in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.
The paper reported that nearly 10,000 soldiers, many of whom risked their lives during multiple combat tours, have been ordered to repay the cash bonuses after audits revealed widespread overpayments by California Guard officials under pressure to meet enlistment targets at the height of the wars 10 years ago.

I spent more than 10 years in the Cal Army Guard. The California Guard has disintegrated as the population has changed as the trash from the rest of the states and the illegals from Mexico have become the largest parts of the population.
The Californians, who explored, developed and turned it into the Golden State have been pushed aside, raped of their property and finances, and displaced.
The dipshit Governor and his liberal minions continue to head in an unsupportable direction, presuming that they are too big to fail and that Uncle Sam will pay all their bills.
The screwing of these soldiers is an example.

Illegal aliens get all the sex change stuff they want for free, thanks to taxpaying Americans:
Taking ALL of the emotion out of this, it seems like their time for recovering a payment ran out years ago.
Of course, the mil wastes how many billions? And we are going after these guys ten years later? That just doesn’t passed the latrine smell test.
It’s horrible.
I was going to list it and saw your post here. Thanks.

Outrageous. The useless Takers win again, and our brave military gets punished.
And all the military brass in Hillary’s corner should be questioned about this. ON NATIONAL TV!!
Civil “damages” have a statute of limitation of seven years.
I’ve just sent an email to my congresscritter, Steve Russell, asking if he can do anything about this.
