JMHO, I think part of the brain is going bye bye. Dementia? Who knows. Dr. Feelgood keeps her up for a short while, but when the drug cocktail wears off (and I suspect she’s developing a tolerance), she crashes hard and fast - hence they get her out of the public eye pronto.

A person at her age with her health related problems can only be medicated for so long before not only is a tolerance reached but if she is on any opiate meds, and I'm sure she is, there is an addiction/dependency issue and the damage done by side effects which can be, to put it bluntly , wicked, especially damage to the liver. Bottom line is you can only medicate someone at her age for so long before they just collapse.
