yes. they have economic problems mostly due to the costs of their defense burden...and there are some pockets still that are not fully participating in the larger economic development (the govt in Jersualem wrangles over this just like we hear in USA about ‘maldistribution of wealth’ — the primary means in Israel of addressing this seems to be an intensive push on education and job training). the existence of ‘boycotts’ have also hurt Israel’s economy but the Israelis seem able to bounce back with better and more high techy products that overseas buyers especially want to acquire (such as in the important medical/health, computers/electronics and advanced defense equipment sectors).
