Donald Trump calls for government ethics reforms (no wonder they fear him)

Donald Trump took his outrage over what he deems a "rigged system" a step further and called for a series of ethics reforms aimed at tackling corruption in Washington, including tighter restrictions on members of Congress and White House officials taking on jobs as lobbyists.

The proposals came after Trump began his speech here by accusing officials at the FBI and State Department of engaging in a "criminal conspiracy," seizing on FBI documents released Monday that revealed that at least two officials at those departments allegedly bargained over reconsidering the classification of an email on Democratic rival Hillary Clinton's private email server.

FBI and State Department say there was no quid pro quo over Clinton email Patrick Kennedy, an undersecretary at the State Department, urged FBI officials to reconsider classifying an email found on Clinton's server, prompting an FBI official to respond with a request for the State Department to approve the deployment of more FBI officials overseas,... The FBI did not declassify the email.....

The proposals Trump unveiled wouldn't have prevented the alleged collusion between the two departments, but appear to be instead aimed at undercutting the influence of special interests in Washington.

Trump called for enacting through legislation a five-year ban "on all executive branch officials lobbying the government for five years after they leave government service" and slammed former President Bill Clinton for nixing that ban at the end of his tenure, which he had himself enacted at the start of his administration via executive order."He rigged the system on his way out," Trump said.

Trump wants to stop the lifetime gravy train that keeps Congress rich.

This is why many would prefer Hillary. As always, follow the money.

They don't fear him because he calls for government ethics reforms.

They fear him because they believe him.

The FBI says there was no quidpro quo deal. But, they don’t deny that Patrick Kennedy tried to get one on behalf of the Felon running for office.

Her Heinous does, that's for sure. The reason for the brain freeze when Trump told her "You'd be in jail!" at the last debate was that it's a real possibility and it isn't only her. If they weren't all in before, they are now.

I love the smell of fear.

Per wendle, the “302” document has the term ‘quid pro quo’.

Absolutely the 302 concluded a “quid Pro quo” offer . If the FBI agreed to change Top secret post Benghazi email to simply “confidential” the offer was cushy foreign embassy FBI slots would be opened up by the state Department as offered by Kennedy IMO. It’s right there in the written 303 “ QUID PRO QUO” Where is Comey? With his brother yukking it up on clinton foundation money?

Even worse - they were asking the FBI to commit similar crimes to what Hillary did. Only the originating agency can declassify material that they originally classified. When it is declassified, it is dated and attributed to a declassifier.

They would have had to lie and commit crimes themselves to do what was asked of them - Trump is right, Kennedy needs to step down since Obama won't fire him....
