Pray for Our American Heroes and Nation

Be anxious for nothing,
but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving,
let your requests be made known to God;
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Holy God,

It has never been Your desire for us to carry our own burdens. You have always given us the blessed assurance that You are able and willing to shoulder our cares for us. Father, we thank You for the privilege of casting our cares upon You, knowing that You who set the sun, moon, and stars in the sky, will surely be able to take care of everything that concerns us.

Father, we pray that every one of our military men and women will realize the beautiful offer You have made to carry their burdens. Surely there are worries about their own safety, the safety and welfare of their families back home, and many other cares that they have each and every day. We pray that each of these brave men and women will have the peace of God which surpasses all understanding guarding their hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Lord, bless Your people Israel with this beautiful peace as well. May they forever be blessed and drawn to You, Lord. Protect their borders and send wonderful ambassadors of Your truth to share the Gospel with them.

Father God, the days are short and we sense the time is drawing near for our Savior’s return. Lord, may we be ready. May we reach out to the lost and tell them of You. May we set our houses in order and prepare our hearts to meet our Savior. Help each of us to accept the responsibility to share Jesus with others. And may You be glorified! In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
