We watch very little TV. The time the TV is on the most is during grandkid visits. They want to watch cartoons and recorded Disney movies. We record about 4 shows to watch when in the mood and I like NASCAR but that’s it for us. We’d really like to eliminate the satellite bill but not sure how, or if we’d really save $$$ in the long run by going to something else.

Three years ago, I visited my granddaughter, who was three years old at the time. One day while her parents (my daughter and her husband) were out of the house, my granddaughter asked me if she could watch a particular movie. Alas, the TV set/entertainment center was so complicated I had no idea how to work it. Fortunately, I had my tablet handy, and using that, I found the requested movie on YouTube. Equally important, the tablet’s batteries did not run down before the movie finished.
