The item says removable by a flight intendant or “a knowledgable passenger.” Trump was not such a passenger. If you look at the thing, it doesn’t look removable. The were removable, typically, for cleaning. This isn’t the same a lifting up an armrest. When removed, the armrest would have to be placed somewhere. It doesn’t fit between between the seats.

The woman made is sound like it was an armrest in a car which is moved up or down easily. That center thing is NOT that. There is no way any guy would mess with/or remove that part of the seat to feel up the woman in seat next to him. Guys don’t like going to that much trouble, do they?

Hell. For that matter, the whole darn seat is removable on an aircraft. You can reconfigure must aircraft seating to alter the seat pitch or spacing between seats.
