The sourpuss left has no sense of humor, because they are so puritanically self-righteous. They simply cannot allow that they are 1) silly, 2) capable of error, 3) exempt from scrutiny or lampooning.
Rush comes on saying jokingly, here come the rape police again, and the oh-so-righteous left accuses him of being pro-rape. There is not use in attempting textured nuanced conversation with them.
