Duh...just clicked on the link.

The stock trigger on my S&W Sport 2 is fine; wouldn’t mind a two-stage but that’s because it’s what I’m used to on a rifle. This is my first AR.

For triggers you might want to consider a Geissele.

https://geissele.com

Everything from match grade to “optimized” mil spec.

Rock River is also highly regarded

Lots of good options out there.

BTW, ball bearings are not always a great idea on triggers for a lot of reasons

I found this review: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2015/02/jeremy-s/elftmann-tactical-drop-in-triggers/

I could see picking one up if I was doing long range shooting.

I'm on my first AR. I went with the Rock River Arms trigger. I could see doing a trigger upgrade down the road. I've got the 6.5Grendel and I'd like to set it up for long range.

Ditto on this.
All four of my ARs have Rock River two-stage triggers. It cut my groups by more than half.

Now I’m thinking about the Geissele SSA-E for my 16” counter-sniper AR.

Wow, 260 for a trigger. Don’t have any experience with that one.

And I thought 100 was expensive....

I just installed a RRA 2 stage trigger on a S&W .308, that when compared to the factory unit was light years ahead.

Pulling the factory trigger was like trying to start a 50 year old Mcculloch chainsaw. :)

” ball bearings are not always a great idea on triggers for a lot of reasons”
even if the ball bearings are sealed?

A clear sign that we gun enthusiasts have more money than brains: $259 for a trigger? If you can't shoot with a well-honed stock AR-15 trigger, you still won't be able to shoot with a whiz-bang ball bearing trigger.

C'mon! You can buy a decent used pistol for the price of that thing!

Is the gun for matches or combat?
I’m increasingly if the opinion that a good manufacturer has the best understanding of how the whole gun should work for real world conditions, and that dorking around with components too often needlessly upsets the balance. And the AR platform, while excellent when balanced, is quite temperamental and sensitive to needles changes.

There are match triggers and there are triggers that are better than stock. RRA and Geissele make great multi-purpose triggers. But some “match” triggers may be far less sturdy than a person might want, outside of a simple target-shooting match. The question posted doesn’t explain what use is intended for this ball-bearing match trigger.

Yes.

Grease can be a problem and any seal that blocks dust adds can be problematic .

Ball bearings are not always the best for the kind of rapid stop - start, back and forth motion a trigger sees.

Mechanical failure is the big problem with triggers and bearings require big holes that subtract structural strength from the trigger components .

Biggest reason is they are not needed for good trigger performance

You can’t go wrong with a Geissele trigger.

In the real world that kind of stuff is money wasted, "gilding the lily" I think is the term some people use.

I mean think about it, if you're in a stress situation, with your heart racing, you full of adrenaline, and possibly under physical duress is it going to make any difference in how well you shoot? Save your money.

That'll be $259, I'll send you a link to my Paypal account. :)

Things to think about:
1) the current quality and performance of your individual AR15;
2) the performance you are trying to achieve and why;
3) whether the existing trigger is actually holding you back from #2 in some way the new trigger will improve. Ammo quality and/or matchup with your rifle might make more difference;
4) whether you need the $259 more for some other purpose or responsibility.

I’ve had firearms with triggers from jerky creepers to melted butter. So long as the trigger is consistent, your brain quickly learns its evil ways, so it doesn’t matter all that much. If firing aimed shots at breakneck speed, it might matter, but so would a whole lot else. I suspect you would get more results from $259 of good ammo and practice.

They are right down the road from me. Very good people to deal with and good product. I have their match trigger in mine and it is just about perfect.
