There is a certain breed of slime bags who naturally arise from charades like "green" power and now the government is on their side. What none of them tell you is that when your power is not needed during the day they simply disconnect the panels and you get nothing. The government demands that the utilities shut down their cheap and reliable power plants especially in places like California. But that will be bad in less sunny places and will raise rates for everyone everywhere.
The economy can adapt to some disruptions from the central controllers and the scammers but it gets weaker each time. Weakness in the power supply sector will eventually be fatal.
