Jihadi Bride Who Fled Syria Uses Life on Probation as Lesson
Al Arabiya ^ | Saturday, 8 October 2016

Her hair pulled back neatly from her face, eye shadow dramatic and flawless, Laura Passoni bears little resemblance to the jihadi bride she was less than two years ago, when she fled in darkness across a barbed-wire fence, her pregnant body betraying her with fatigue and terror.

Convicted on March 23 in Belgium of joining ISIS - the day after members of the group struck the Brussels airport and metro - Passoni’s decision lost her custody of her children to her parents and is forbidden from contacting the baby’s imprisoned father.

She spends her time trying to persuade young people that her decision to go to Syria in June 2014 was the worst mistake of her life.

She’s spreading the truth, and stupid young people need to hear it.

Stupid young people need to see her executed in public.

Genuine repentance is rare. But when it exists, it must be honored or there is no civilization. She's doing good work and appears genuine. She should be allowed to continue it.

IMO

She can go on her lecture circuit after paying for her crimes.

Read the article - she was convicted, and part of her sentence is teaching other young muslim women not to join ISIS as she did. In addition, her escape earned her an ISIS death sentence and the loss of her family.

Illogical, since she could prevent other similar situations. Or do you want impressionable young women she might be able to reach to otherwise race over to make more terrorists?

So she’s a woman and she goes on a lecture circuit and her crimes are forgotten. The way to deal with terrorists is to SHOOT THEM. Get it? Not reward them with fame and good times and sympathy.

Look man, there's no chance of you getting into her pants so stop playing this game.

Oh boy, what a big brave Web Warrior you are.

It doesn’t sound to me like her crimes are forgotten. Her kids were taken away from her, for starters, and if ISIS gets a chance they will kill her, probably in the most brutal, agonizing way they can fashion at the time.

What this woman is doing, in the way she’s doing it, requires great REAL courage.

To hear you, you’d have yourself executed Saul of Tarsus, who did far worse than this woman.

If you're taking about white knighting, that's not what I'm talking about. You are demanding her death. I'm disagreeing on legal grounds. Grow up.
