Good morning AB, Yon Commenters, Bray, All

I am writing this early Sunday morning, in Williamsburg, Virginia of all places, while Matthew, or what's left of it, pounds the Virginia coast.

Speaking of Matthew, I have included a pic of my nephew, Matthew Fish, and the bribes he is giving out for his campaign for the student council in his school. I often write about Matthew on this thread for even at the tender age of 14 he vows he will be president when of age and you must smile, already he's out campaigning.

Not to mention it's very possible my beautiful granddaughter might be his First Lady, they are not related thought it's complicated.

Anyway, thank you AB for reliably doing this thread, Bray for weekly wisdom, and yon commenters for helping to flesh it out for us.

"So Pat, what the hell are you doing in Williamsburg, Virginia, for Gods sake, and at the tail end of a hurricane?"

Well, my niece and I had planned this trip for several months and this Matthew fellow, not my nephew, decides to visit Florida and the east coast.

Oh, we both argued and debated and my niece, Connie, daughter of my sister, said sister who LIVES IN NAPLES FLORIDA….is hysterical, telling me that they will close the Chesapeake-Bay bridge in the hurricane.

Yes we did make it down to Williamsburg but we only got to drive through the town a couple of times due to inclement weather. But we went to the Pottery and we went to the outlets and I got new rings for my beautiful fingers and new stuff for my house and we went swimming in the hotel pool and we're getting ready to go home.

So I am getting ready to leave to head home and wanted to drop you all a line and let you know I probably won't be on much after this but all is well and will touch back with you all later.

My niece Connie, and her boyfriend Jeff, is very conservative and I am telling her all about FreeRepublic.

Thanks for the ping,AB.

Not sure if I can bring myself to watch the dump on Trump Sunday morning shows.

Think I’ll give my BP a break and rely on all the good folk on this thread to fill me in.

I told my hubby yesterday that he could kiss the cable TV good bye as soon as the election is over.

I’m sick of donating to their cause.

FNC is what I watch the most and there are fewer and fewer shows I want to see, can get the real news better from you all.

Haven’t had much to say today, but now that we are within striking distance of 3 hunnert for the Rock, maybe we can gin up some more.

Trump came into this race in good faith, but he has constantly had carpets jerked out from under him. He was leery that GOP would snooker him, so he gave them a conditional promise that he’d play ball, if the party supported him. This led to the pact of all candidates to pledge allegiance to the winner. Of course when he pulled ahead, the gutless liars like Jeb and Kasich started the sabotage. The GOPe soon followed, now a whole chorus of other “republicans”.

I doubt if he ever counted on the media becoming a full partner with Hillary. He had always enjoyed great press relations. But of course as a Democrat.

So The Donald has done this pretty much alone, not being able to trust or rely on anyone. He must feel like he has been transported to the Garden of Gethsemane.

For God’s sake...let him (us) win. Amen
