TAMPA, FL — Speaking to supporters in Tampa, Hillary Clinton says climate change is “wreaking havoc on communities across America.” Clinton warns that Hurricane Hermine “is not the last one that’s going to hit Florida given what’s happening in the climate.” She says, “When it comes to protecting our country against natural disasters and the threat of climate change, once again, Donald Trump is totally unfit and unqualified”.

HILLARY CLINTON: “Another threat to our country is climate change. 2015 was the hottest year on record and the science is clear: it’s real, it’s wreaking havoc on communities across America. Last week’s hurricane was another reminder of the devastation that extreme weather can cause and I send my thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by Hermine. But, this is not the last one that’s going to hit Florida given what’s happening in the climate. […] If it affects people who lose their homes or their businesses that took a lifetime to build, it doesn’t matter to him. When it comes to protecting our country against natural disasters and the threat of climate change, once again, Donald Trump is totally unfit and unqualified to be our President.”

Never before in the history of the world did hurricanes exist.

And then man started burning coal....

So all those past hurricanes were due to what exactly? The huge one in the 1850’s that tore up the eastern seaboard and what about that disastrous Galveston, Tx one in 1900 - all those before globul warming/climate change was put forth for charlatan’s like Al Gore came along. And industry was worse then with all the coal-fired machines from boats to trains to you name it. All that pollution in the air.

And yet libs want to question Drudge for asking if Matthew was overstated to politicize it for “climate change”

Kind of weird. This is not Hurricane Hermine. Either this is an old quote or some sort of scam to get conservatives in a tizzy.

We can’t elect Trump or the hurricanes will come! Man, I don’t want any more hurricanes. I guess I’ll vote for Hillary.

Why trying to link hurricane #Matthew to ‘Climate Change’ is just political hype

Hurricane Matthew is a Category 4 storm at the moment [no longer], that makes it very dangerous, and (if it makes landfall) something we have not seen in the continental United States for a over a decade. Surprisingly, just today, we passed the 4000 day mark for a drought of major (Cat 3 or greater) hurricanes to make landfall on the continental USA.

Hurricane Wilma was the last major hurricane (Category 3 or stronger) to hit the U.S. It made landfall in Florida on October 24, 2005. The much ballyhooed Hurricane Sandy was Category 1 at landfall, and technically not a hurricane at that time, but an extra-tropical cyclone. Hurricane Ike in 2008, was a Category 2 when it made landfall.

Matthew is very likely to be the first major hurricane to strike the U.S. in almost 11 years, the question is will it be Florida, Gerogia, or the Carolinas?

No tendency to increase in number of storms over the last 135 years or so. Where is the "warming" signal?

So... She’s doing her party to fight AGW by forgoing vehicular travel, and instead using video conferencing to make her appearances... Right?

No?

Joe Bastardized

Very similar to the mega year of 2005! Major bursts of landfalling storms occurred in ‘95 and ‘96 after the El Niño of 94,’ 98 and ‘99 after the El Niño of ‘97, and ‘03, ‘04 and ‘05 after the El Niño of ‘02. It’s natural, it’s happened before and it’s about to happen again. So I would not be tooting the lack of hurricanes as anything but what it is — a lack of hurricanes. But much more deceitful, in my opinion, is using hurricanes as a sign of global warming. It shows the gall of the people suggesting that. Even with facts staring them in the face, they simply ignore them and say it anyway.

Hurricanes are nature’s way of taking heat out of the tropics and redistributing it to the temperate regions. Weather and climate are nature’s way of seeking a balance it can never attain because of the very design of the system. Nothing more, nothing less. Attributing such things as hurricanes as a sign of so-called “climate change” is provably wrong. Hurricanes are much more than ping-pong balls for someone’s agenda. They are an awesome display of nature, sometimes resulting in terrible consequences, but all part of the natural up and down that is inherent in the system.

Bastardi is a good guy. He called out the climate alarmists and left the weather channel because of all the propaganda.

So ... humans have been affecting the climate since the 1800s causing all these hurricanes to hit Florida? And I guess (according to this chart) from 1900 to 1950 we had more gas-guzzling SUVs on the roads than we do today?
