With a Trump win, we are facing exceptionally grave danger in four to eight years. With a Hillary win, we are facing an immediate and exceptionally grave danger to the survival of the United States as a free country. If this does not get indescribably ugly within the next decade it will be because Trump won and then accomplished miracles.
I full expect mass oppression and civil war if Hillary wins. Once she’s legalized 40-60 million invaders people will give up on democracy, because what’s the point of the people voting of the elites just select a new people?
I don’t think the elites or the politicians care. They know the bottom is gong to fall out of the world economy and it is going to be a major SHTF situation. It’s inevitable. Thus, they are all just jockeying to amass as much wealth as possible before it happens and are putting together the foundation for a total police state in order to maintain their own safety and as much order as is possible in such a situation. But the author has certainly picked up on the rage. Trump is no one's "last warning", he's what comes after the last warning is airily dismissed. I enjoy metaphor as much as anyone, but he is no Antichrist, nor are his followers any lumpenproletariat angry at insufficient pandering, nor are we likely to be mollified by repackaging business as usual as some sort of political moderation.
Nor is he all that likely to lose, and what comes after that isn't going to be any apocalypse, but it may seem that way to the political and cultural elites whose excesses the author has accurately described. The real difficulty is that the ground assumption on the Left has become that the duty of government is to sculpt its society and to hell with the preferences of the individual citizens therein. And that once in power it is the duty of the government, and the unassailable right of its operators, to run roughshod over those jerks from Peoria who aren't real human beings anyway.

I have been to 3 Trump rallies during primary. I will be sick if he loses but it has been the best campaign ever. Never have I laughed so much or been prouder of a candidate.
