“From each according to his ability, to each according to HER needs.”

That pretty much sums-up the state of American divorce law.

You know divorce is so expensive?

Because it’s worth it.

After 6 years of my begging, pleading, and praying for my wife to go to counseling, get back on her Zoloft, go to our pastor, something - I said enough is enough. I’m done. I can’t take it anymore.

So, I’m going to be going through it soon - and I know it’s going to cost everything I’ve got - but I don’t care. I cannot live with the toxicity anymore. Walking around my own house on eggshells, scared to go into my own bedroom because she’s ‘napping’ after a day of teaching (which I get, is stressful, but so is working in IT at a university, which I do), then getting up, complaining that dinner isn’t cooked the way she’d have done it, and then deciding she’s not going to eat anyway. And, having ZERO intimacy (kiss, hand hold, hugs, or anything else for that matter) for 5 years? Nope. Not for me anymore. I am DONE.
