UN makes power play against Trump

“International governments have made a power play against Donald Trump by ratifying an international climate deal earlier than expected, effectively preventing him from canceling the deal as he has promised to do. The European Unions Tuesday decision to join the Paris climate deal will push the deal over the threshold for ratification; it will formally take effect in 30 days.
That means Trump, should he be elected president in November, could not cancel or renegotiate the terms of the agreement.
President Obama committed the United States to reduce its emissions by 26 percent to 28 percent by 2025 as part of the deal. The agreement is nonbinding, so Trump would be free to ignore it if he wins the White House.”
And just WHAT are the UN and the EU going to do, when President Trump thumbs his nose at this? If the UN doesn't like it, President trump can just withhold what America pays into the UN and then it would fall apart. I don't see nay downside to this.

Of course Trump can unsign it. There’s no such thing as a plenary presidential agreement that binds future presidents. Presidents, like congress, are sovereigns. Trump can only be bound by law, not by old agreements signed by a predecessor.
So not only does Obama, the entire Democrat party & the MSM not know how our system works, the UN doesn't know either.
