Darren Rutledge missed his opportunity to vote for the first African-American president. He was in prison. Today, Rutledge, his smile flecked with gold, works trimming beards at Incredible Creations Beauty and Barber shop here in downtown Cincinnati. With Hillary Clinton on the presidential ballot in Ohio, Rutledge is eager to have his chance to make a statement with his vote.
Rutledge is African-American, part of a demographic coalition that flocked to Obama but has been somewhat less enthralled with Clinton. Crucially, his very participation in the election process is owed to a black woman: His sister, an employee at Cincinnati City Hall, helped him register to vote for the first time in 2014.
Black women like Rutledge’s sister are key to Clinton’s hopes in Ohio, especially here in Cincinnati, where they are driving the Democrat’s turnout machinery among minority voters.
They are also some of the most reliable and progressive voters: in 2012, 83 percent of registered black women turned out to vote, 10 points higher than the turnout rate of all other women, according to AFL-CIO data. And according to exit polls, African American voters accounted for 15 percent of the vote in Ohio. Most of them were women.

Trump really needs to bring to the fore Bubba’s history of racism and sexual assault/rape. If he can weaken her among her core groups - women and minorities, he can win. ICYMI, trying to take away Trump’s working class strength is the whole purpose of Hillary’s tax return jihad.

The will register imaginary people by the thousands to park bench addresses and mess with the absentee ballots. It is how Clinton plans on winning Ohio and every other battleground state.
All the usual Black activists that mobilize the fraud-vote threw Hillary to the curb for Obama in 2008. They definitely cheated Romney out of some states in 2012. They will do it again, it’s second nature- a given.
Trump needs to continue his courting of black voters. When will he return to the inner cities?
The “Black” brand is not what it was a few years ago, with cool Oblameo and his Beyonce loving Harambe wife. BLM and the riots from the animals in those neighborhoods have completely turned off white suburban voters. But she can double down, in fact please plead for black felons to vote. I’ll trade 2 white voters in Columbus and Sheffield Lake for 1 black voter in Cleveland all day long baby. Isn’t Hillary due for another Parkinson’s episode? I think we are due.
