Salt Lake City — (KUTV) While Donald Trump makes headlines nationally, there's a lot of talk in in Utah about how the election could swing to the left.
For the first time in a very long time, pundits have been calling Utah a swing state in the election between Trump and Hillary Clinton.
While Utah, as a swing state, is good election year fodder, it may be a bit of a stretch.
“If you are a Donald Trump supporter you really don't go around telling people that you are,” said Jason Perry, Director of the Hinckley Institute of Politics. He has been watching this election closely. In the Institutes latest poll conducted, in conjunction with the Salt Lake Tribune, Utah voters were clearly leaning to the right.
The late September -Salt Lake Tribune-Hinckley Institute poll asked likely GOP voters: “if their leaders should support their party's nominee?”
Sixty percent say yes while 57 percent of Republicans in a Dan Jones & Associates survey said they planned to vote for Trump.

Like most states, the metro area swings hard left, while the burbs and rural go hard right.
Maybe Hillary can fly in Willard to campaign for her there. Look how well he did for Zero in 2012.

They are right, it is common part of Utah (LDS) culture to lie to avoid ‘contention’ (called Lying for the Lord). Because of Romney and Beck, there are a lot of Utahns who are either supporting Johnson, LDS nevertrump candidate McMullin or supporting Trump but will never admit it.
It is likely that because of the split that Hillary will get more votes than normal but in the end when push comes to shove - Trump will carry Utah with Johnson and McMullin getting more votes than most other states.
I have some Everglades real estate to sell anyone who thinks Utah will vote Democrat in a presidential election involving any person born on earth running for both parties.

I just say I dislike them all, especially Hillary Clinton which is cool because it seems most people voting for Hillary don’t like her either.

Online polls are not reliable. Unless it is set so you can only vote once. People use multiple email accounts to by pass even that.
I don’t even talk to the GOP orgs that call. I just hang up when they start their whine of needing cash for RINOS.
