Unfortunately, this is probably untrue.
In the past couple of weeks, Iraqi “news agencies” have come up with bizarre stories regarding al-Baghdadi - the one I saw last week claimed that he had had a dream wherein Muhammed had told him that he should abandon Mosul.
This is all psy-ops leading up the the battle for Mosul, which is supposed to commence in the next week or two.
