This Insurrectionist finds Mark Halperin to be among the most cautious and level-headed of pundits. The With All Due Respect host typically avoids wild speculation and is generally of the one-the-one-hand and on the other school of analysis.
So it was striking that on today’s Morning Joe, Halperin, with some prodding from Joe Scarborough, suggested that Donald Trump might be planning a big October surprise in the nature of a “revelation” about Hillary Clinton. One sensed that Halperin had some inside knowledge of the situation, though all he mentioned in support of his theory is that Trump is surrounded by people such as David Bossie, who has spent a quarter-century investigating the Clintons’ personal lives.

If Trump has irrefutable documentation that Hillary is a lesbian, what Assange does or does not release will be either redundant or of secondary importance. Trump no doubt would like Assange to release the data. Then if he were politically savvy he would let his surrogates do the necessary wet work.
All this is fine and good, but Trump would be better served to stay on the ISSUES and let his surrogates slice and dice. I hope he does NOT bring up Bill’s sordid past in the next Debate because, trust me, Hillary and her advisors have been practicing a “come back” to that for a year or longer; and it could BACKFIRE on him. Stick to the issues and let everyone else destroy her character.

Even if Hillary came out of the closet would that lose her any votes from her supporters? I doubt it.
Bill’s black child? Ditto.
Swiss or other offshore bank accounts? Might make a small dent.
Hiring a killer of Vince Foster and leading the coverup? Probably no effect.
