I agree that a lot of things need some tweaking but I'm NOT so sure that opening up the constitution is a good idea. Especially knowing the depth of corruption that exists these days and some of the "powers" that hold way to much sway among the politicians currently holding office. And, not just at the federal level. Founders currently spinning.

Given the current very poor state of education possessed by the general public about Constitutional government, I find this to be a very dangerous idea.
I think it could be an expressway to enshrining FDR’s “Second Bill of Rights” into the actual Constitution.

Obama “opens” the constitution on an almost daily basis. So do the courts. Unless we claw back federalism America is doomed. A convention of states is the only constitutional way to reverse course.
