Syrian Army cotninues massive advance in northern Aleppo

By Leith Fadel - 03/10/2016

ALEPPO, SYRIA (4:15 A.M.) - The Syrian Arab Army's Republican Guard, backed by Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary), continued their large-scale advance inside the provincial capital of Aleppo on Sunday night, targeting new areas under the control of Fatah Halab near the Handarat Refugee Camp and Kindi Cancer Hospital.

According to a military source in the provincial capital, the Syrian Armed Forces managed to capture the western axis of the Awijah District after a fierce battle on Sunday night with the jihadist rebels of Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki, the Free Syrian Army (FSA), and Jabhat Al-Shamiyah.

In addition to their advance at Awijah, the Syrian Armed Forces are also pushing towards the Bureijj Quarries, where they hope to expel the remaining jihadist rebels in the area.

Intense clashes are still ongoing inside the Awijah District, as the Syrian Armed Forces continue their massive advance against the jihadist rebels in northern Aleppo.

In Video: US-backed rebels attack Syrian Army with Grad missiles By Zen Adra -02/10/2016

The US-backed rebel group, Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement, released new footage showing a group of its militants firing a barrage of MB-21 Grad missiles at Hama military airbase.

Days ago, the West-backed FSA fighters were shown for the first time using advanced rocket launchers against Syrian government troops in northern Aleppo.

Earlier, a senior rebel commander told Reuters that rebel groups had received – for the first time – 'excellent quantities' of advanced rocket launchers to defy a Russian-backed, wide-scale offensive against rebel forces in Aleppo.

The commander also made clear that the newly-obtained weaponry will be used "against regime forces" in Aleppo, Hama and latakia.

A President named “Hillary” would start a war with Russia over this with dangerous consequences, that’s one thing I know for sure.

Peter Hitchens Sunday column has a section in the middle commenting on Aleppo and the propaganda expressing outrage over what’s going on there.

Those comments are at this link. Scroll down to the middle of his column for those comments.

Refusing diplomacy on Syria may result in full-scale war — Russian Foreign Ministry
World

October 02, 3:10 UTC+3

“Lobby in US is now really muddying the waters and not allowing to reach an agreement,” Russian Foreign Ministry’s official spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said

MOSCOW, October 2. /TASS/. The refusal of a diplomatic settlement in Syria may result in a full-scale war which will lead to “tectonic shifts” in the whole region, Russian Foreign Ministry’s official spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in the “Right To Know” program on TVTs channel.

“Lobby in US is now really muddying the waters and not allowing to reach an agreement,” Zakharova said. “There logic is — ‘why do we need diplomacy, UN, talks, international law, why do we need any commitments on the international arena, when there is power and the right of a powerful one, and there are our own national laws which may stand above other laws and be strengthened by methods of resolving a problem by power. We already know this logic, there is nothing new about it. It usually ends with one thing — a full-scale war,” she added.

The spokeswoman declined to answer the question on Russia’s possible reaction in case the United States uses force against Syria. “I cannot speculate on what will happen if… This is the task of experts. May task is to explain why it is so important to stay in the framework of the agreements,” she said. “If US starts a direct aggression against Damascus and the Syrian army, this will lead to scary tectonic shifts not only on the territory of Syria, but in the whole region as well,” she noted.

US State Secretary John Kerry earlier said that Washington may freeze cooperation on Syria with Moscow.

After celebrating the Arab Spring and encouraging revolutions, Now Obama will just let them die.

First it was the loyalists displaced and forced to migrate, now it will be the other half of the population being forced to do the same.

Here comes another 5m refugees.

Actually some argue that depopulating the enemy-held territory is part of their bigger plan:
