The NYT is already “into oblivion.” As for the editor, his actions were within the course and scope of his position as editor, so what he did, the NYT did. Still, I’d sue him personally and individually in civil court; at least bankrupt him with legal costs and fees, or have his personal liability insurer pay the freight, then cancel his policy going forward.
