Learning the Arabic language can open up highly-paid job opportunities in Britain - according to jobs search engine Adzuna - as it is one of the most sought after languages in the country’s labor sector.
The British company studied more than one million jobs on the market to see the most requested languages along with English, in various work fields.
The study examined which languages could lead to higher salaries and better job positions and found there were nine languages in addition to English that could prove to be rewarding – Arabic came second in the list of nine
Those who were fluent in Arabic and English can compete for a larger number of jobs vacancies, the study found, and get a much higher than average salaries earned by those who only speak English.
The first and most required language is German, according to Adzuna. The average salary offered to those who are fluent in both English and German in Britain amounts to 34,534 GBP per year ($45,000). The national average wage in the UK is currently 27,478 GBP ($35,760) before tax and other deductions.
Arabic ranks second after German, and is more sought after than French and Spanish the report added.
The average salary for those who speak Arabic and English is 34,122 GBP per year ($44,500).
The study stated that there are 1113 vacant jobs in the UK requiring the candidates to be fluent in Arabic and English.
The language ranking third was French, while Dutch rankeds fourth, Spanish comes in fifth place, Japanese ranks sixth, Russian seventh, Italian eighth and in the ninth place Chinese Mandarin.
