I can tell you that opposition to the mass influx of refugees is growing in my neighborhood. From an original reaction that it was a humanitarian necessity to a majority (more among men than women) who believe that the policy is misguided.

You must understand that the left owns the vocabulary here, just as they seem to own the vocabulary in America although to a lesser degree, so the change in attitude should be seen as a triumph of observation and common sense over ideology but that takes time.

Finally there is a common understanding that they are not getting the truth from their own media and I have heard many of them say that when they want to know the reality of the immigration situation they have to go to foreign newspapers. They assume their own government and their own press is lying to them at least by omission. I think this is a very significant development and one which I had not anticipated.
