More than half a dozen military trainees from Afghanistan have disappeared over the course of about two weeks.
They were training at U.S. bases, including Fort Gordon in Augusta and Fort Benning near Columbus.
“It’s concerning and legitimately so,” Georgia State University security and counterterrorism expert Robert Friedmann said.
Seven trainees went AWOL from bases so far this month. Friedmann says he doesn’t think the timing is a coincidence.
“It's fairly likely that it was coordinated, because that's too much of a coincidence,” he said.

Benning was where the Mexican soldiers were trained who went on to form los Zetas drug cartel.
The same thing has happened at least once before. Two Afghan trainees disappeared in January but were located. This doesn;t necessarily have anything to do with terrorism. For someone who doesn’t want to spend the rest of their life in Afghanistan, going AWOL in the US might look like a very good option.
Look for something to go, ‘BOOM’ in the coming weeks.

We train them for more efficient and lethal Jihad.
This is an ongoing problem. Happens all the time but no one in the military or gov seems too concerned with it.
