Kerry said he lost argument to back Syria diplomacy with force

Secretary of State Kerry, said he had lost the argument within Obama to back up diplomatic efforts to end the bloodshed in Syria with the threat of using military force.

The NewYork Times, said it had obtained an audio recording of the 40-minute discussion that took place at the Dutch Mission to the United Nations on Sept. 22. (with) Syrian groups that provide education, rescue and medical services in rebel-held areas and diplomats from three or four countries, the Times said.

The meeting took place days after a cease-fire Kerry had negotiated with Russia had collapsed and rebel-held areas of the Syrian city of Aleppo were coming under heavy airstrikes as Moscow and Syrian President Bashar Assad’s government rejected a U.S. pleas.

“I think you’re looking at three people, four people in the administration who have all argued for use of force, and we lost the argument,” Kerry said in an audio clip posted on the Times website.

Russian forces joined the Syrian war a year ago, tipping the balance of power in favor of Assad, Iranian ground forces and Shiite jihad's from Lebanon and Iraq.

It said one woman, Marcell Shehwaro, asked “how many Syrians” had to be killed to prompt serious action. Kerry responded that “Assad’s indifference to anything”

It has been widely reported that Kerry pushed President Barack Obama to give teeth to international efforts to force Assad aside and end a civil war now heading into its sixth year.

Kerry refers to the speech incident in Friday’s leaked recording, but blames the U.S. Congress for refusing to vote to authorize the U.S. military to take action against Assad.

Russia is on the move to basically restore the Soviet Union and then-some with positions in the strategic, oil-rich Middle East. If Obama was ever serious about going after ISIS, which he clearly was/is not, Russia would never have had the excuse and opportunity. In short, despite the public smoke and mirrors BS, both he and Putin are in cahoots on the Russian expansion into the Middle East.

May the force be with John F’n Kerry. He should’ve elicited help from Luke Skywalker, aka John McCain. What a weak Sociopath of State. The former Sociopath, Hillaryous Rotten Criminal, could’ve gotten it done.

Good! Who wants to risk a war with Russia under any circumstances, let alone with our weakened military and a pansy CINC, just for a bunch of ragheads who have never liked us and will turn on us in 2 seconds.

It has been widely reported that Kerry pushed President Barack Obama to give teeth to international efforts to force Assad aside [and what business is this of ours?] and end a civil war [which we instigated, funded and equipped] now heading into its sixth year.

Our meddling has removed bad guys in Iraq and Libya and created chaotic vacuums for radical Mohammedans to fill. We also tried in Egypt but a swift counterrevolution foiled our plans. Now we are completely destroying Syria because Assad is not our vassal and stands in the way of a natural gas pipeline. The waves of refugees that we created - and which are still growing - are overwhelming Western Europe. Regardless of our intentions, it is our mess and is leading the world to war.

It’s treasonous that years after Kerry’s War being rejected by the American people, he still pursues the illegal and unlawful use of US military force in a war zone where there is no clear national interest (other than getting the hell out of the mess).

Could you imagine international efforts to push President Lincoln aside during our Civil war?
