Not sure where you got your info on Abbott pursuing a career as Senator, but I really have a hard time believing there is anything to it.

That’s my hope! He’s been good for Texas and has had other States join him in opposing the Fed Gov’t. on various issues.
Although I applaud the Gov./Lt.Gov.’s decision to not participate in the program and while this is garnering headlines....the real headline, it makes no difference what the State of Texas says. The Ferrule gubbamint will continue the program, in the state of Texas, with or without our assistance.
So, tell me, other than words, as Texans what have we gained in this? I submit...nothing. Until Texas authorities issue arrest warrants for those bringing these people into our state against our will, it's a big goose egg.
Taking official action is worth more than a nickel. Taking no action is not worth a nickel. You understand the difference in value between action and no action on matters of great importance?
