Commercial fishing boat owners and groups are reacting to the executive action taken by President Obama that created a marine national preserve in the North Atlantic on Sept. 15. They say that banning commercial fishing there is unnecessary, since the fishing industry has already been working with government agencies on conservation measures.

Obama doesn’t care about working people.

From the article:”“They say that they want to preserve the bottom of the ocean in its present state; well, fishermen have been working these waters for 200 years,” Mears said, “and the bottom is still pristine.”

He doesn’t give a rat’s rear end about the marine life or ocean bottom. He just wants to cause gratuitous pain and destruction. One more thing on Trump’s list of repeals.

Really? I hadn’t heard that. What don’t muslims hate (besides little boy’s rear ends)?

Things like this should be required to go through a Congressional vote not some dictatorial decree from the president.

It should be based on sound conservation and scientific principles and input from all those who will be affected.

“food magically shows up at grocery stores”

LOL still recall in 1st grade (53 years ago) the teacher asked, where does milk come from, kid raised his hand and blurted out THE GROCERY STORE

Sadly, the main problem with this issues is the following imo. Low-information commercial fishing boat owners have unsurprisingly swallowed the media’s lie that POTUS can act unilaterally from Congress.

And what’s even worse, as a consequence of not understanding how the federal government works, fishermen might help to reelect the same lawmakers who are remaining silent about Obama’s action.

Trump should absolutely use this as a campaign issue. Promising to rollback this executive order and bring back the New England fishing industry jobs.
