Within a month after the misguided policy, the company's market cap had already declined by $9 billion compared to where it should have been had Target kept its pre-April 19 correlation with its primary competitors, Walmart (WMT) and Costco (COST).
By late May, the market cap hit reached $10.5 billion. As of the second week of June, the loss was $11 billion.
Second-quarter earnings data are now out, showing that Target's earnings plummeted nearly 10%, with projected lower sales estimates for the remainder of 2016. Net sales declined more than 7% from the same period year over year.
Corporate executives are leaving in droves. Just 10% of the most senior executives in place two years ago remain with the company, including two major losses during the past month.
Had Target's market cap continued to follow close pace with Walmart, as it had done in the months before the bathroom policy was implemented, it would have increased 1% compared to its value on April 19 of this year. Instead, Targets market cap is now down 23.3% over this time frame.

... but looking at the the bright side ... it's becoming easy to find a good parking place close to the front door!
I’m happy to see people voting with their pocket book. That is the one true way that you can vote on a daily basis.
You can make a difference.
We may have the Leftists’ feet on our necks, but we don’t have to pay for their boots.
Target can be replaced easily. There are too many other outlets from Dollar Stores to Meijers to Walmart.
I dropped Macy’s after reading about the head of security who was canned for his Catholic beliefs.
He told them he would enforce Macy’s policy even though it conflicted with his personal beliefs. They fired him.
Since Macy’s does not want him in their stores because he holds a religious POV, they don’t want me either, and I have been a very, very good customer. I am encouraging other Catholics to avoid Macy’s overt bigotry and shop elsewhere.
Looking at this photo you can feel the gay and not even have to guess where his eyed would be if a teenaged boy walked through the room:
I haven’t been to Targay in months but, I’ll bet they are already selling Christmas items. They are happy to “celebrate” Christian values if it will turn a buck. We need to really hurt their sales this season.
They’re still in business? Time to ramp up our efforts.

Target stockholders are being lied to by the corporation.
Shut the commie bastards down
Unfortunately the Target parking lot in my town always looks packed.
My entire family stopped shopping at Macy’s a few months ago after they lied when they said my disabled daughter had signed for charges she never made on her credit card. They had sent a new card to her apartment shared by her awful roommate, who had invited squatters in to sleep. (We’ve since gotten her out of there.) My daughter never got the card herself, so she could not have made those purchases. Too bad, so sad, but we don’t shop there anymore. Too many other choices. We don’t need them.
J.C. Penny, Target, the NFL, Hillary.
This is great news and I think now is the time for conservatives to start a movement to defund and destroy ALL these leftist businesses starting with Target but we also need alternatives to: Microsoft, Google, the NFL, Starbucks, etc. etc.
I have my list and they hit 3 areas Anti-Christian, Anti-GUN, Pro-Choice and LBGT crud. These top it.
Ben & Jerry
Panera
McD’s
SKG
Target
The board of directors keeps him employed.
Never heard of SKG but will avoid the others.
We have six kids-our toilet paper and laundry detergent purchases alone were fairly significant;-). Haven’t been back there since they announced that policy.
Not mine. I get a smile whenever I drive past the Target near me and see the parking lot half empty.
You probably won’t find a nationwide chain of coffee houses to replace Starbuck’s, but there are quite a few local establishments that are very nice. When I lived in Orlando the answer was Barnie’s Coffee & Tea, for instance. As for Microsoft, this week I found a suite of programs called FreeOffice that can replace Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It’s from a German company, they are wholly compatible with the older versions of Microsoft Office (before 2007), and you only have to pay for them if you want a version 100% compatible with today’s Microsoft Office. Now if only we could replace Windows. Maybe Linux is the answer there.
