American public needs to elect lawmakers who will lead the nation
forward

WASHINGTON – American Federation of Government Employees National President J. David Cox Sr. today issued the following statement:

“Averting a government shutdown with only days to spare is no reason to celebrate. Congress has merely kicked the can down the road for another 10 weeks, when we will face yet another budget showdown.

“Public servants and American families deserve better. This November, we need to elect lawmakers who will lead this country forward and remove the obstructionists who are standing in the way of progress.”

The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) is the largest federal employee union, representing 670,000 workers in the federal government and the government of the District of Columbia.

True, they would have good reason to celebrate an actual shut down, but not a “near shut down”.

Enforce the debt ceiling. If government and the people’s representatives can’t figure out how to spend the massive amounts they take in, then let Fed.gov go bankrupt.

We will have change either way.

This regime spends trillions, but where is it going ? We have nothing to show for it. Methinks it’s being funneled en masse overseas to our enemies (Zero’s puppetmasters).
