The demographics have changed to much since 1980 for that to happen, plus voter fraud was frowned upon back then. Today this corrupt government turns a blind eye to voter fraud at the very least.
You are right about demographics, unfortunately. However, voter fraud by the Democrats well predates 2016 or 1980. Kennedy won in 1960 due to vote fraud in Illinois and Texas. Carter won in 1976 due to vote fraud in New York. Richard Daley in Chicago, the Pendergasts in Kansas City, and Tammany Hall in New York City have stuffed ballot boxes for well over a century.
Voter fraud may have been frowned upon, but it happened. Supposedly, Kennedy squeaked out a victory over Nixon because he won Illinois because of Cook County, the county in which Chicago is located. Mayor Richard Daly ran a tight Democrat machine and supposedly many dead people voted for Kennedy, putting him over the top.
Demographics have indeed changed since 1980. The Dems point to the changing numbers and then boast that a future permanent Dem majority is ‘inevitable’ no matter what the Reps do.
That attitude is a mistake. I think many segments of the black community - older, women, church goers - are tired of being taking for granted each election cycle as they watch their neighborhoods go to hell in a handbasket.
When Trump says that blacks are living in the ‘worst conditions since slavery’ it is hyperbole, true, but his passionate and heartfelt statements really do reasonate on an emotional to what many blacks feel today. I heard a black Democrat on the radio yesterday who said he was disguted with the way Trump was treated on Monday, that the system is indeed rigged, and that he is voting Trump.
