Monday night’s first presidential debate between Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump was the most-watched political debate in history, according to early ratings figures. CNN reported Tuesday that an average of 80.9 million people tuned in to view the debate across all 12 cable and broadcast networks that carried it, according to early ratings figures compiled by Nielsen.

I have come to realize that debates are useless and only can be harmful to Republicans. I don’t think we should play the game. Rudy Guiliani was correct. The networks, if they care, should give 90 minutes to each candidate so they can speak directly to the people, uninterrupted. Like a townhall.

Not to worry my FRiend. Trump absolutely nailed it for the first 30 minutes, which will be most important in voters minds. If he maintains his current campaign schedule and strategy without any major gaffes this election is a landslide for him.

I don’t know how only 11 million of the 80 watched it on Fox News, yet roughly half the voters out there are Republican. Why would 75% of Republicans prefer to watch the more leftist channels?
That’s only TV. Add in youtube , internet streams much over 100 million in the U.S. alone ,700,000 million world wide
People watched to see that vulgar, Chicago bitch collapse or go into some sort of fit.
This may be also my last debate, other than for the VP. All Trump needs to do is get better and keep patient.

Not completely useless if you go by the undecideds shifting. Some source on another thread said 4% shifted according some poll. 3 to the Donald and 1 to H for a plus 2 for Trump. If that translated out into the electorate at large that’s worth it alone.
