Trump won because he’s believable.
Hillary has spent decades building her political empire, while squandering her credibility.
Goodbye, Hillary’s political empire.
The best moment was when Trump stood up to Lester Holt when Holt pulled a Candy Crowley regarding the Iraq War. Holt tried claimed Trump had supported that war and Trump corrected him, showing that Trump had always thought it was a bad idea. Lester Holt never challenged the Wicked Witch on anything and challenged Trump on everything. The position of Moderator should be abolished.
First off, this is a Utah news outlet....
Where was Clinton on immigration, slashing the national debt, healthcare, VA care for Vets, common core and schooling for our children, jobs for our people...
Trump was on point, her emails, taxes, immigration, law and order, national security...
When Clinton starts to state her policies instead of riding on Barky’s 8 years, then the American People MIGHT, but highly doubt it, listen to her...
She has had 40 years to do something, she has done just the opposite and I lay the Middle East at her feet...
I rest my case...
Debating is a difficult art. While Hillary Clinton has been practicing her debate skills for the past 40 years, Donald Trump has been out there growing businesses, building up cities and putting people to work.
Trump is the only one who drew blood. Hillary’s attempts fell flat because they were false. His couple slaps wiped the grin off her face and made her look both sick and angry until she could take a few breaths and regroup - then she used kid’s words such as “Just more silliness” instead of rebutting what could not be rebutted.
If what went on in my household was any indication, the Google searches on Clinton were things like “Clinton Body Count” as I was educating others on her history.
Quote that summarizes the entire debate— “You have had 30 years to make things better... why do you care now?” That was devastating
They came in deadlocked as unlikable candidates. Holt focused on why Trump was not liked, as did Hillary, and it backfired. Trump demonstrated he was more concerned about helping America than bashing people. His harsh criticizms of Hilary were all about her failing the American people. Unlike her, he did not get personally nasty.
Hillary's campaign desperately needed to keep the narrative as Trump as nasty....and that narrative took a huge blow. Which is why there is no other way to look at this debate except as complete disaster for Hilary.
Hillary was her usual wind up tailor politician. Bobbing head and all.
It would be hard to argue Trump did NOT win last night.
Gravis poll of 890 registered voters proved it.
Those 890 favored Trump by +3.6% before the debate
Those 890 favored Trump by +6.6% after the debate.
Bump. I’m watching it again.
The moderator should be a citizen, not a media personality.
Considering that hillary had all the questions and answers ahead of time, Trump did well.
The person who "wins" the debate isn't the one who got the best grades from the media, scored the most jabs at the opponent, or knew the issues best.
The person who wins the debate is the one who does a better job convincing the audience that they are comfortable with him or her in the White House.
I don't know how this will play out, but I would not be surprised if Trump did very well by this measure.
The goal is to win votes.
Trump has to learn a 3 part strategy, a quick answer to satisfy moderator question, what his policy is and why it works, why the democrats policies haven’t work and several examples.
And when it comes to a rebuttal, a quick, relevant, sarcastic, yet polite enough to be palatable. Don’t give a long answer unless you have it nailed down.
This might hurt, so skip over if you don’t want this opinion, but I watched most all of it. He was a mess, didn’t nail the economic debate which should have been simple-middle class need jobs to be middle class, the middle of the debate he did a little better, the end he sucked and couldn’t cobble together his thoughts for a relevant response heeming and hawing over what to say.
Still no rehearsal necessary if he is well informed and has a conservative solution.
