In a long and often rambling discussion following a contentious interview on Monday with Senator Ted Cruz, radio host Glenn Beck criticized the Texas Senator’s justifications for finally endorsing Republican nominee Donald Trump. The radio talker even declared at one point that he should have backed Senator Marco Rubio for president, instead of throwing his full support to Cruz in the GOP primary.
Beck grilled Cruz over his decision to back Trump after declining to do so on principle when he suspended his campaign and when he addressed the RNC convention in Cleveland.
“This weekend, you wouldn’t answer the question if Donald Trump is fit to be president of the United States,” Beck said to Cruz.
“What I said is this is a binary choice,” Cruz replied. “I wish it were not a binary choice. As you know, I tried very, very hard — as did you — to prevent it from being a binary choice from Hillary and Donald Trump. And I think it is fair to say there was no other Republican candidate who left more on the field and did more to stop Donald from being the nominee than I did. But the voters made a different decision. And you have to respect the democratic process, even if you may not be terribly happy with the outcome.”

I am beginning to think that Beck is mentally ill. He used to have it all together. Pretty sad.

Because? Rubio is more conservative than Cruz? Or because he holds a grudge better than Cruz and wouldn’t have endorsed Trump? Is that all that matters? Screwing Trump over? In that case, he should have endorsed Bush.
Cruz has a career ahead of him. Beck has a trip to the loony bin ahead of him.
It’s very sad.

Cruz and Rubio are both ineligible. Why would Glenn Beck, who always tells us it is all about the Constitution, want to violate it like that?

Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas. Most of your supporters have long known that Beck is mental, and that this was inevitable. Why didn’t you?
He’s not right in the head.
beck has real mental issues IMO. Remember he was investigated by the FBI and he was suspended for violent comments. He needs meds.

Late last year, almost all conservatives’/republicans’ dream ticket involved Trump and Cruz in some order. Now, we KNOW Pence is a much better choice.
As for Cruz’s ‘endorsing Trump’, sure, once it is clear Trump momentum is real and Hillary is eminently beatable, Cruz did the political expediency just so he can stay somewhat relevant.
