(CNN)A prominent Jordanian writer facing charges for sharing a "blasphemous" anti-ISIS cartoon that outraged Muslim groups was fatally shot in Amman on Sunday, state news agency Petra reported.
Nahed Hattar, a member of the country's Christian minority, was shot three times outside a courthouse in the capital where charges against him were being heard.
Hattar, a political commentator and columnist, was remanded in custody last month after sharing a controversial cartoon on Facebook that sparked anger from Muslim groups.
Amman Governor Khaled Abu Zeid ordered that the writer be held for the "blasphemous" Facebook post, Petra reported.
Hattar was charged with the crimes of insulting religion, and inciting "sectarian strife and racism," for having posted the image, which was deemed as "abusive to the divine entity," Petra reported at the time.

This fellow may have faced up to death for his crime in a muslim country and you can bet every moderate muslim was cheering on his killer.
And this is exactly why we need to rid the USA of muslims.

I agree with you but we need to do it in a way that adheres to are constitution. what I would do is change serval of are laws to make it hard for those that have all ready gained citizenship to keep it. I would have shared responsibility for families that are naturalized citizen. what that means is that if a family member is involved with criminal activity the whole extended family can lose there citizenship and be deported. I would make it illegal for there to be any private court system. with heavy jail times for anyone involved with it. any religious institution could lose there tax exemption and protection from regulatory discrimination by cities if it is found that they are storing weapons or promoting religious violence.
I would ban any foreign sponsorship of religious institutions..... I would also ban anyone from entering the united states that has married a child under the age of fifteen with those who do get in liable for child rape laws for rapes committed outside of the united states. Multiple marriages would also exclude you from entry. anyone coming from designated countries into the united states should go through customs separately women and children in one group and the men separately away from the women with the women and children being asked mandatory questions about physical sexual abuse and whether any marriage was a forced marriage.
If you have noticed all of these changes do not mention a specific religion but would serve to discourage or get rid of the undesirable elements in the middle east.
Jordan is one of those supposedly “moderate” muslim countries.
There is no candy-coated version. It has always been a religion of murder and mayhem, conquest and slavery.
Islam is a war plan for world domination.
Killing infidels is its primary objective.
All great ideas, assuming the 1st thing we do is stop muslim entry.
