yes, there is no excuse for sloppy voter rolls.
If you do not pay a county bill, the state will ding your state tax refund. When it comes to revenue, they are on top of it.
Keeping sloppy voter rolls is intentional.
We just recently moved from Oregon to Idaho, & were pleasantly surprised to receive mail from our old Elections Office asking if it was permanent or not. Interestingly, the office was mostly comprised of Republicans in an area that is so blue it rivals San Francisco. (I was active in the local GOP there & can testify to that.)
At least no one will be voting in my name in Oregon, & I have the satisfaction of actually going to a poll & voting in person in my new state as opposed to ‘vote by mail’ in Oregon. This country will not be set on the right path until Identification at the Polls is required...in every state!
