Yes... My (separated) parents have a quite large book collection, between the two of them. My Mom in particular just wants to get rid of stuff / sell it cheaply, and has bought into the whole “books are not worth anything, any more” meme, as do my brothers. Since I’m the only one helping with my P’s care, I think I’m going to insist that I get any of the books I want...

Even if the Internet were never censored, it only takes one good burp of the Sun to wipe out most electronics (and / or the power for them) on Earth for a good while.

“Bolton called the Internet handover “a mistake of such colossal proportions that you would have thought we’d have a huge debate about it in this country.”

This.

Why have we been so entranced with Hillary’s every twitch or Trump’s incredible showmanship during this election cycle when “a mistake of colossal proportions” was being made?

Bolton is right. I hope he gets a good position in the Trump administration and the Republican Congress will confirm him, if that is needed.

What we may end up seeing is 3 internets, the approved, the shadow, and the dark.

There has been talk off and on of an outernet the last few years. Tech is always ahead of the game.

What could happen more likely is that there will be a delay placed because the international community will wait for the outcome of the upcoming Presidential elections. I sense interest in Mr. Trump. He has had one endorsement from the leader of Hungary, the gentleman from Britain paying him a visit, and the President of Egypt seeing him.

If you haven't, you should watch Soylent Green and Edward G. Robinson's role.

Baloney. There’s too much money involved in the internet for it to end.

The best way to win this fight is to convince the hard left that this move to kill the internet as we know it will jeopardize zeros legacy. Its all he cares about.Do that and they back off.

Great post Arthur, and the complexity of all this is why talk radio can’t get around it more. Rush could but has not so far.

As women are being systematically raped, murdered, sold into slavery across the world, which is the only country that the UN’s Commission on Women chose to condemn this year? Yep, you guessed it – Israel. Israel. Israel where women fly fighter jets, lead major corporations, head universities, preside – twice – over the Supreme Court, and have served as Speaker of the Knesset and Prime Minister.

You really think that it’s too complex?

I’m sorry to ‘hear’ that. It seems so simple to me now.

Urg, the way I phrased that — I’m sorry!

“Too complex for talk radio to explain ...”

I thought Louis Gohmert and his guest did a good job on Hannity — last hour of Friday before the Labor Day weekend.

not if you have to get into the nitty gritty of the internet takeover it is tough to do on talk radio.that does not mean we should not try however.

>>Sooner or later, a new network will be built to rival the Internet. It might be owned by Apple or Microsoft, but it will be built.

Don’t you think that this is driving force behind all of this? The internet is the Wild West right now. You can make a lot of money if you do things right, but there’s a lot of freedom for the masses on it too.

The Globalists want that freedom stopped. They want to buy up all those virtual family-owned ranches to create the Information Mega-Ranch. They want pennies for every search, ever comment, every FB post. They want a meter on your router. But, the current paradigm of freedom keeps them from taking this step.

So, they hand the Wild Information West over to the ChiComs and Saudis and suddenly, people are begging them for a “commercial solution”. The big players step up and suddenly you have a huge monthly bill and are forced into a pipeline. Get tired of one provider and you have to give up your pipeline (and the “exclusive” features in that pipeline) to go buy into another pipeline.

This has been their dream for 15 years. Obama, the Globalist Leader, will give it to them. The GOProgressives will help. The Democrats will say, “Derp”, as usual because they don’t understand anything.

We are heading toward Real-Name registration for Internet use, just as in place in China, Russia and South Korea.

If ICANN does leave American control and falls under Chinese jurisdiction as developments indicate, then we can be sure we’ll see actions to limit Internet free speech and user anonymity.

The good news is that we’ll finally learn each others real names on this forum.

Profile pictures would help too so that we might recognize and greet one another in the FEMA camp red list section for deplorables...
