The Church was on that path in the 70’s. John Paul II forced the clergy to get off it and to withdraw from politics.
The same insert has lots of stats about how the average active U.S. Catholic is now over 50, and that we have to draw Millenials back into the Church.
I don’t disagree, but there is a right way and a wrong way to do that. And I fear we are going to choose the wrong way.
No. No jail. Soros needs to take a dirt nap.
Soros is funding the SJW groups in the US....always ready to riot
I’m not sleeping. I do, however, refuse to be manipulated by the MSM and the “narrative” they promote. This article was extremely misleading, would you not say?
The impression left with those who do not read was that leaked documents suggest “collusion” between the Pope and Soros. While I do not agree with the Pope’s actions and comments regarding the refugees, there is no evidence that this is a planned plot, as the article would lead us to believe.
Dunno. The stage is being set. They may be the warm-up crew. Still, one of these days, one is gonna confirm a 7-year “covenant” and the other will call down fire from (as if from) Heaven in plain sight of the world.
yep
The way I read the Bible, I pray I never see that confirmation! Maranatha!
Amen
A Pope being of like mind with and working (known or unknown) unison towards the same goals as a Soros is proof enough for me of an evil (spoken or unspoken) "alliance" to merit the article and its posting on FR.
"working in (known or unknown) unison towards the same goals"
Thanks!!
Yes, Soros has been following the Pope - and the devil followed Jesus Christ during his earthly journey. Did Christ ally with the devil? Absolutely not. The Pope is certainly not collaborating with Soros, nor is he aligned with him. The article gave the impression that a “gotcha” document was uncovered that he was. Evil uses many tactics and tricks to promote evil.
You are correct - we cannot know what is in the heart of another. The author did not use the word alliance loosely. It was used as a deliberate attempt to mislead readers into believing that the Pope was collaborating with Soros. That was the impression I first had until I read the article carefully and discovered this was not the case.
I’ve stated numerous times on these boards that I do not always agree with the Pope’s opinions on some matters, global warming as an example. However, there has been absolutely NO ambiguity on the Pope’s beliefs, and the Catholic Church’s teachings on, for example, the sanctity of human life. The Holy Father has spoken out strongly against this evil - Soros is all for it. In matters of morality, Soros is the antithesis of the Pope.
I did not indicate at all that your post should be stifled. On the contrary, your posting brought attention to the issue and encourages careful reading and discussion of the article and facts - always a good thing.
"With Burning Concern: We Accuse Pope Francis"
Contrary to the constant teaching of the Church based on Revelation, you demand worldwide total abolition of the death penalty, no matter how grave the crime, and even the abolition of even life sentences, yet you have never called for the abolition of legalized abortion, which the Church has constantly condemned as the mass murder of innocents.Don't miss the last charge! You declare that the simple faithful are sinning gravely if they fail to recycle their household waste and turn off unnecessary lighting, even as you expend millions of dollars on vulgar mass events surrounding your person in various countries, to which you travel with large entourages in charter jets that emit vast quantities of carbon emissions into the atmosphere.
You demand open borders for Muslim refugees in Europe, who are predominantly military-age males, while you live behind the walls of a Vatican city-state that strictly excludes non-residentswalls built by Leo IV to prevent a second Muslim sack of Rome.
You speak incessantly of the poor and the peripheries of society but you ally yourself with the wealthy and corrupt German hierarchy and pro-abortion, pro-contraception, pro-homosexual celebrities and potentates of globalism.
You deride greedy corporate profit-seeking and the economy that kills while you honor with private audiences and receive lavish donations from the worlds wealthiest technocrats and corporate heads, even allowing Porsche to rent the Sistine Chapel for a magnificent concert arranged exclusively for the participants, who paid some $6,000 each for a Roman tourthe first time a Pope has allowed this sacred space to be used for a corporate event.
You demand an end to inequality as you embrace communist and socialist dictators who live in luxury while the masses suffer under their yokes.
You condemn an American candidate for the presidency as not Christian because he seeks to prevent illegal immigration, but you say nothing against the atheist dictators you embrace, who have committed mass murder, persecute the Church and imprison Christians in police states.
As I said, I don’t agree with the Pope’s opinions. He seems to not think before he speaks. He has not changed Catholic teaching - (ex-Cathedra).
No NGO is better positioned to profit from globalism than the Catholic Church!
(11 years of Catholic school here.)
This doesn’t surprise me. This Pope is carnal, not spiritual at all.
I suspected as much. He probably threatened Pope Benedict with a visit from Hillary’s Scalia Take Out Team.
