State officials say more than 524,000 absentee ballots have been requested in Ohio this year - an increase of 40,000 compared to the same period during the 2012 presidential election.
Secretary of State Jon Husted (HYOO-sted) says nearly 12,000 of the absentee ballot applications are from military and overseas voters. The rest are from in-state residents.
Absentee ballot applications must be submitted by Nov. 5, the weekend before the Nov. 8 general election. Husted says voters should submit them as soon as possible

The OH Gov should write back: “Sorry, show up on 8 DEC to vote like everyone else. We aren’t mailing you a ballot. You can show up, with ID , and take one with you. You can’t pick up multiple ballots. By the way, OH has more people moving OUT, and that’s why we are skeptical of 40k more ballots being requested than last year.
I think this is not a good thing...probably more illustrative of the extent of fraud voting democrats intend on doing.
Scares the hell out of me considering the massive voting fraud in Ohio in 2012.
The Hildabeast wins..!! By hook or crook.....
Having just moved from OH and seen in Cuyahoga Co. a 97,000 shift in favor of GOP registrations, I would call this a good thing.
I know in Pennsylvania if you want an absentee ballot you need to show cause why you should have one (I am going to be in the hospital, I am going to be working in South Korea, etc.).
Never voted absentee when I lived in Ohio so not sure what the rules are there. But definitely this reeks of Democrat mischief.
Ohio PING!!!
Early voting begins Oct. 12
Let me know if you want on or off the list.
Also - please share if you have info on ground game in Ohio.
Hillary has NO ground game in Delaware, Ohio

Could the bulk of the requests be from Trump enthusiasm? Might it be a good thing?
When I was a leftist forty years ago, leftists went into every institution for mentally ill or incompetent, group home, elderly housing complexes and adult day cares or any other place with adults. the leftists then “Helped” them vote by “voting for their best interests” which happens to be the leftist way.
This is still happening. I recommend that the right get there first.

I think it is a good thing, but anyone going to the polls should stay vigilant, especially when the computer shows your choices, make sure they are what you want.
“Scares the hell out of me considering the massive voting fraud in Ohio in 2012.”
And, 39,000 of 40k were all addressed to the LAZARUS family,& at 10 different address...right??
I have already requested my Ohio absentee ballot.
It required ID on the form, so that isn’t the issue. The issue, as always, is the data system that does the inputting and counting. But that’s no different than any ballot in this computer age. Computer vote machines can be hacked as has been proven many times.
FWIW, with Trump LEADING in Ohio right now, absentee ballots voted during the Trump surge are a good thing....assuming computers aren’t hacked.
The Democrats found some new cemeteries they missed last time around.
Why even issue absentee ballots in those numbers, just mark most of them in the demodummie category and be done with it, most of those will be fraudulent anyway.
I disagree.
FWIW, they are the only paper ballots being cast. They are recountable.
Are digits actually recountable at the computer terminal?
"And so it begins."
Have you ever noticed that Democrat areas come in later? That’s because they are voting for the people who didn’t vote. That’s why dead people show up as voting.
Could be a lot of seniors like us who will vote absentee this year.
